Space Force – PT Calculator (HPA)
Calculate your official U.S. Space Force Human Performance Assessment score using the 2026 USSF scoring charts — 60 points cardio, 20 strength, 20 endurance.
Demographics
Cardiorespiratory Fitness
Max 60 ptsAt least one of your two annual cardio assessments must be the 2-mile run. Cardio component minimum: 35 points.
Muscular Strength
Max 20 ptsTempo push-ups have been announced as a future strength option, but the Space Force has not published a scoring table for them — this calculator will add tempo push-ups when official numbers exist.
Muscular Endurance
Max 20 ptsBody Composition (WHtR)
Not scoredWaist-to-height ratio is assessed annually during your birth month but is NOT part of the 100-point HPA composite. Per SPFMAN 36-2905, the ratio is truncated (not rounded) to two decimals; the waist is measured at the umbilicus with the average of the three closest measurements rounded down to the nearest 0.5 inch.

How the HPA Works
The Space Force Human Performance Assessment (HPA) replaced the legacy Air Force-style PT test for Guardians. Under the December 2025 interim change to SPFMAN 36-2905 (effective January 1, 2026), the HPA is scored on a 100-point composite: Cardiorespiratory Fitness is worth up to 60 points (2-mile run or 20-meter HAMR shuttle run), Muscular Strength up to 20 points (1-minute push-ups or 2-minute hand-release push-ups), and Muscular Endurance up to 20 points (1-minute sit-ups, 2-minute cross-leg reverse crunch, or forearm plank). Body composition (waist-to-height ratio) is measured separately and is not scored.
Select your sex and age group, choose an event in each component, and enter your performance for real-time scoring against the official charts. Passing requires a composite of 75+ AND meeting the starred minimum in every component: 90+ is Fit to Fight, 75–89.9 is Health Maintenance, and below 75 — or any missed component minimum — is Health Concern.
Official USSF HPA Scoring Standards
HPA scoring is adjusted for age and sex across nine age brackets (Under 25 through 60+). Each component has a starred minimum printed on the official charts — the cardio minimum is worth 35 points, and performing below any component minimum scores 0 points for that event and fails the assessment regardless of your composite total.
